MeetMatch Video & Auto-Recording

How automatic call recording, transcription, and AI analysis work.

1How auto-recording works

When you use MeetMatch Video as your meeting location, calls are automatically recorded as soon as two or more participants join. There is nothing for the rep to remember — no buttons to click, no browser extensions to install. The server-side recording begins in the background and produces either an audio file (Standard quality) or a video file (HD / Full HD), depending on your recording quality setting.

2Enabling auto-recording

An admin must enable recording in Settings → Advanced:
  1. Toggle Auto-Record Calls on.
  2. Optionally enable Call Intelligence (AI Analysis) to get transcriptions, summaries, and coaching after each call. This requires a Pro plan or higher.
  3. Choose a Recording Quality — Standard (480p) for Team plans, HD (720p) for Pro, or Full HD (1080p) for Enterprise. Quality options above your plan are locked.
  4. Set a Recording Retention period — recordings older than this are automatically deleted to free up storage.
  5. Optionally enable Video Recording Upload to upload composite video alongside audio. This is off by default — only dual-track audio is uploaded, which is sufficient for transcription, summaries, and coaching. Enable video if you want to review the visual recording on the Meeting Notes page.
  6. When video upload is on, toggle Auto-Delete Video After Retention to control whether video files are cleaned up automatically (on by default).

3What happens after a call

Once a call ends and the recording is ready, MeetMatch automatically:
  1. Transcribes the call using OpenAI Whisper with speaker labels.
  2. Generates an AI summary — key points, next steps, and objections.
  3. Creates coaching tips — personalized feedback on talk ratio, question quality, and closing technique.
  4. Plots an interest curve — a visual timeline of prospect engagement throughout the call.
  5. Suggests a meeting tag — automatically categorizes the meeting (e.g. Discovery, Demo, Negotiation).
  6. Indexes the transcript for Ask Anything search across all your calls.
Everything appears on the Meeting Notes page within a few minutes of the call ending.

4Storage and billing

Recordings count against your plan's cloud storage quota:
  • Free — no recording storage.
  • Team — 50 GB/seat/month (Standard quality only). Admins can opt into storage overage billing ($0.50/GB) in Settings → Advanced.
  • Pro — 200 GB/seat/month (up to HD quality), with automatic $0.50/GB overage billing.
  • Enterprise — unlimited storage, retention, and Full HD quality.
Video uploads consume significantly more storage than audio-only. A 30-minute call uses ~30 MB for audio but ~300 MB for video at Standard quality. See Cloud Storage & Recording Retention for details.

5Personal Room recordings

Recordings from your Personal Meeting Room follow the same automatic flow. The browser can also capture dual-track audio (separate streams for you and the prospect) for better speaker labeling in the transcript. This is handled automatically when the dual-track recording feature flag is enabled.
